Love the turning dial for the silent mode covers it to protect it and functional. No scratches and very durable. Awesome no second thoughts buying again for all my future iPhones. Better than OTTERBOX! Love this case! It is slim yet sturdy, I have already dropped a couple of times, once on cement and then on tile surface. I especially like that it has the openings for the cord strap. Awesome case. Only iPhone case I’ve ever had that doesn’t lose it’s shape/form Or lose it’s sturdiness. Never had any issues protecting my iPhone. Love the mute switch and the buttons as well. I have had this clear Catalyst case for a month and have really enjoyed it. My favorite feature is the wrist strap that comes with it. The case is protective and I like the rotary vibration switch. The clear back makes my phone stand out. I have 3 boys and the case I got needed to be the best. Needless to say I have dropped my phone multiple times now over the past 6 months I have had this case and it’s held up great. Premium price for a good case
It seems to be hard to justify a case for such price, but after trying a couple that’s available on the market I decided this is a keeper.From the point of touching the case I can feel the company put a lot of thought into designing the case with everyday practical usage in mind. Although the case has a raised front and back edge, it doesn’t add a lot of bulk. It is because the edges are well chamfered to accommodate the protection with clean design. The inside edge is also well rounded so edge swipe gesture can be performed easily (I have a 2.5d glass protector installed.) The material of the bumper also feel permium in hand, and it is not slippery at all. Compared to the rhino shield I owned, Catalyst has a better design on their buttons. Most cases on the market protrude their buttons way too much, so it becomes easy to click on them accidentally. On the other hand, the buttons on Catalyst sits almost flush with the edge and are extremely responsive. The silent rotating knob design is also a creative solution to provide great accessibility so you won’t have to stick your nail inside the grove to access it. Finally, I really like the rubber seal around the cutout for camera, it not only block the dirt and dust, but also raise the edge slightly so it is less likely to get contact with other surface. I can’t speak to the drop protection since I haven’t dropped my phone with the lanyard provided.Here are the parts I don’t really like but feel it’s still acceptable. First, the clear back is certainly an oil and finger print magnet, I hope they can have more option for consumer to choose from. I can understand the design though, since the phone looks extremely sleek when the surface is clean. Second, the quality control on the clear back is terrible, the first one I received has small white dots on it and it is not removable, and the second one has some sort of grease which I ended up wiping it off. I’ve read other even received one with a scratched up surface.
